Tourism is one of the largest and fastest-growing industries in the world. From exotic destinations to cultural heritage sites, millions of travelers are looking for memorable experiences and that creates countless opportunities to earn money from tourism. Whether you’re in a small town, a bustling city, or near a famous monument, there are many ways to turn tourism into a profitable business.

In this blog, we’ll explore practical and profitable ways to earn money from tourism, even if you’re just starting out.

Start a Tour Guide Service

If you live near a tourist destination and know its history, stories, and hidden gems, you can become a local tour guide. Travelers love getting insights from locals, and a personalized tour can be more memorable than a textbook experience.

How to Start:

Offer walking, bike, or food tours

Learn storytelling and communication skills

Register with platforms like Airbnb Experiences or TripAdvisor

This is a low-investment business with high returns during peak travel seasons.

Open a Homestay or Guest House

If you have extra rooms in your home or a small property near a tourist spot, consider turning it into a homestay or guest house. Travelers, especially international ones, often look for budget-friendly and local accommodations.

What You Need:

Clean, comfortable rooms

Basic amenities (Wi-Fi, breakfast, hygiene)

Listing on booking sites like Airbnb, Booking.com, or MakeMyTrip

You can earn steady income from daily bookings, especially if you provide warm hospitality and local tips.

Start a Travel Blog or YouTube Channel

If you love traveling or have knowledge of tourist attractions, you can create a blog or YouTube channel. Monetize it through ads, affiliate links, sponsored content, and travel collaborations.

Monetization Sources:

Google AdSense

Affiliate programs (hotels, flights, gear)

Brand sponsorships and travel agencies

Paid online courses or travel eBooks

It may take time to build an audience, but it can become a strong passive income source.

Open a Souvenir or Handicraft Shop

Tourists love taking back souvenirs. If you’re creative or live in an area known for local art or craft, starting a souvenir shop is a smart move.

Local handicrafts

Postcards and mini monuments

Handmade clothes, jewelry, and décor

Personalized gifts and photo frames

You can also go online and sell your products on platforms like Etsy, Amazon, or your own website.

Offer Transportation Services

Many tourists need transportation within a city, especially in places where public transport is limited. Offering cab services, rental bikes, or tuk-tuk rides can be a great way to earn.

Ideas to Start:

Become a certified driver with Ola/Uber

Offer airport transfers or day rentals

Rent scooters or bicycles with a security deposit

If you provide reliable service and fair pricing, you’ll get repeat customers and good reviews.

Start a Local Food Business

Tourists love exploring local cuisine. If you can cook well or know traditional recipes, start a small food business, such as:

Local street food stalls

Home-cooked meal experiences

Traditional cooking classes

You can also list your food experience on platforms like Airbnb Experiences, or collaborate with travel bloggers for exposure.

Sell Tickets and Packages

If you live in a tourist-rich city like Agra, Jaipur, or Goa, you can partner with travel companies or start your own small agency to sell:

Tour packages

Entry tickets

Combo deals (hotel + food + tour)

This requires good networking and marketing, but it can scale well with the right strategy.

Photography and Videography Services

If you’re skilled with a camera, offer travel photography to tourists, especially couples, influencers, and solo travelers. Everyone wants good photos from their trip!

What to Offer:

Photoshoots near famous landmarks

Instant print services or digital albums

Drone video services for premium clients

List your services on travel forums or social media platforms for visibility.

Language and Cultural Experiences

If you know a foreign language (French, Spanish, German) or can teach Indian languages or cultural practices like yoga, music, or dance, you can earn by providing cultural workshops.

Options:

Language classes for travelers

Cultural immersion tours

Workshops in cooking, henna art, or Bollywood dance

Final Tips to Succeed in the Tourism Industry

Focus on customer service – tourists value friendliness and honesty.

The tourism industry is full of opportunities for people from all walks of life. Whether you’re creative, business-minded, or simply passionate about your culture, there’s a way for you to earn money from tourism. With the right strategy, consistent effort, and love for hospitality, you can turn tourism into a rewarding and profitable career.

The Marvel of Khajuraho Temples, located in the Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh, are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of India’s most iconic historical attractions. Famous for their exquisite erotic sculptures, intricate carvings, and stunning architecture, the temples of Khajuraho showcase the artistic brilliance of ancient India. Built between 950 and 1050 AD by the Chandela dynasty, these temples reflect a harmonious blend of spirituality, symbolism, and sensuality.

In this blog, we’ll take you through the history, significance, main attractions, and travel tips for visiting the mesmerizing Khajuraho Temples.

Historical Background of Khajuraho Temples

The temples of Khajuraho were constructed during the rule of the Chandela dynasty, which was known for its patronage of art, architecture, and culture. Out of the original 85 temples, only 22 have survived the test of time.Builders constructed these temples over a span of 100 years and divided them into three main groups:

Western Group: The most famous and well-preserved temples.

Eastern Group: Mostly Jain temples.

Southern Group: Fewer temples, but still architecturally significant.

The temples are dedicated to Hindu deities like Shiva, Vishnu, and Kali, as well as Jain Tirthankaras.

Architectural and Artistic Excellence

Khajuraho’s temples are celebrated for their Nagara-style architecture. Built primarily of sandstone, these temples feature raised platforms (jagatis), shikharas (spires), and intricately carved outer walls. The temples do not only showcase deities and divine beings, but also depictions of daily life, musicians, dancers, warriors, and lovers — representing the full spectrum of human emotions.

One of the most talked-about aspects of Khajuraho Temples is their erotic sculptures, which form about 10% of the total carvings. These artistic expressions symbolize Tantric traditions, where physical love is considered a path to spiritual enlightenment.

Idgah Railway Station (station code: IDH) is one of the significant railway stations located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. While not as large or busy as Agra Cantt, it plays a crucial role in serving the city’s local and regional connectivity. It is especially useful for passengers traveling on shorter routes within Uttar Pradesh and neighboring states.

Idgah Railway Station is operated by the North Central Railway and is an important stop for local trains, passenger trains, and a few express services. Strategically located in the heart of the city, the station is close to major bus stands and local transport routes, making it a convenient option for daily commuters and budget travelers.

Why Idgah Railway Station Is Important

Though smaller in scale, Idgah Agra Junction holds importance due to its proximity to Idgah Bus Stand (the central bus terminal of Agra), and its connectivity to routes leading to Bharatpur, Jaipur, Gwalior, and Mathura. It is frequently used by local travelers, pilgrims, and tourists looking for a less crowded alternative to Agra Cantt.

Key Features of Idgah Railway Station:

Number of Platforms: 3

Main Usage: Local and regional train services

Passenger Services: Basic waiting area, ticket counters, drinking water, restrooms

Security: Moderate, with local police presence

Location Advantage: Close to Idgah Bus Stand and about 3.5 km from the Taj Mahal

How to Reach Idgah Railway Station

Idgah Railway Station is centrally located and well-connected to other parts of Agra via road and public transport.

From Major Landmarks:

Taj Mahal: Around 3.5 km (10-15 minutes by auto-rickshaw)

Agra Fort: 2.5 km away

Agra Cantt Railway Station: Approximately 4 km

Idgah Bus Stand: Only 500 meters

Agra Airport (Kheria Airport): Around 6 km

Local Transport Options:

Auto-rickshaws and e-rickshaws are easily available outside the station

Ola and Uber cabs operate in this area

Shared tempos and buses available to different localities in Agra

Best Time to Travel via Idgah Station

The best time to visit Agra and use Idgah Station is during the cooler months from October to March. This is the peak tourist season, and though Idgah Station is not crowded like Agra Cantt, it sees increased footfall during these months. If you’re visiting nearby heritage sites or heading to Rajasthan or Madhya Pradesh, traveling via Idgah Station is a smart and convenient option.

Trains Operating from Idgah Railway Station

Idgah is mainly a stop for short-distance trains and passenger trains. A few express and intercity trains also halt here. Popular routes include:

Agra to Bharatpur

Agra to Jaipur

Agra to Gwalior

Agra to Mathura

Agra to Etawah and Kanpur (via local trains)

Note: Train schedules are subject to change. It’s best to check IRCTC or Indian Railways for updated timings and platform numbers.

Nearby Attractions

If you are at Idgah Station and have time before your train, you can explore nearby tourist spots:

Taj Mahal – One of the Seven Wonders of the World

Agra Fort – UNESCO World Heritage Site

Mehtab Bagh – Scenic garden across Yamuna with sunset views of Taj Mahal

Jama Masjid – Historical mosque in the old city

All these attractions are within a 5 to 20-minute drive from Idgah Railway Station.

Hotels Near Idgah Railway Station

Several budget and mid-range hotels are available near the station for short stays:

Hotel Ajay International

Hotel Kant

Hotel Sidhartha

These hotels provide clean rooms, basic amenities, and easy access to public transport.

Final Words

Idgah Railway Station may not be as popular or large as Agra Cantt, but it serves a vital purpose in Agra’s railway network. Whether you are a local resident, a tourist looking for quick access to the Taj Mahal, or a traveler connecting to nearby towns, Idgah Station is a convenient and efficient option.

With its central location, local train connectivity, and proximity to the main bus terminal, Idgah Railway Station is perfect for budget travelers and short-distance commuters. As Agra continues to grow as a tourist and heritage city, Idgah’s role in supporting smooth local transit remains crucial.

G20 Summit is one of the major platforms where countries discuss various economic growth related issues and attract investments which lead to overall development of their nation. The G20 is the world’s premier economic forum. G20 summit and India gathers 20 major countries and economies together to address global challenges. Established after the Asian Financial Crisis of 1999, when leaders realized crises could no longer be contained by individual nations alone and needed greater international economic cooperation, its membership accounts for approximately 85% of global economy. 75% of trade volume and two thirds of population of this planet: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France Germany India Indonesia Italy Japan Russia South Korea Turkey US are members.

The summit took place at the Bharat Mandapam International Exhibition-Convention Centre, formerly known as Pragati Maidan, in New Delhi from September 9–10. India has taken on the rotating G20 presidency this year and will be focusing on advancing global priorities under its leadership. However, there is much uncertainty ahead of the summit due to a variety of political and social challenges. It is not yet clear whether the summit will be able to produce a communiqué binding member states. In addition, the summit may be disrupted by protests in the city. Nevertheless, despite these difficulties, the summit is expected to be a success. This is mainly due to the fact that the US and other countries support India’s efforts to promote the interests of their citizens. This will help the summit to continue its work in an increasingly complex and uncertain international environment. The summit will also mark the first time that Africa has been invited to join the G20

About G20 summit and India

The G20 summit addresses topics like global economy, governance, poverty and inequality, climate change, trade and investment as well as digital transformation. While its traditional focus was macroeconomic policy, more recently its scope has expanded significantly into areas beyond macroeconomic policy such as trade and investment and digital transformation. Furthermore, this summit provides members of G20 an opportunity to network and strengthen relationships among themselves.

India, is one of the G20’s new members, stands a unique opportunity to shape its future. Under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership, India has focused on fostering South-to-South cooperation and serving as an arbiter during contentious global issues such as Russia’s aggression towards Ukraine. Furthermore, gender equality and women-led development initiatives are being actively promoted within their borders.

Although the G20 is widely seen as an international forum of cooperation among nations, its membership often remains divided on certain key issues. Yet despite these divisions, members have generally agreed on reforming global institutions like the World Bank and IMF while also setting out rules regarding crypto currency transactions. They have pledged their cooperation in furthering economic development for low-income nations while mitigating climate change impacts.

This summit will also cover health-related matters, such as pandemic preparedness and drug price rises. It will underscore the significance of universal healthcare coverage and innovative digital solutions for global health; call for urgent support of low-income countries; as well as greater international efforts against antimicrobial resistance threats.

The G20 Summit will feature working groups dedicated to agriculture, climate, energy, development, finance, food security, and the world economy. Each working group will have a lead country that sets their agenda and oversees meetings during the summit; at its conclusion they should produce a final report that may include proposals for action from all participants as well as side events and bilateral meetings. Additionally, there will be several side events and bilateral meetings during this summit.

The G20 summit and India brings together 20 of the world’s largest advanced and emerging economies, representing 80% of global GDP, three-quarters of world trade, and two-thirds of its population. Since 2008-2009 financial crises, their agenda has been broadened to address political and social issues that intersect with economic interests; each Summit serves as an invaluable opportunity for countries to come together and discuss common problems.

G20 country list

The Group of 20 (G20) is an international forum that brings together major economies. With members representing 85% of global GDP and responsible for shaping international economic policy, this body does not have an institutional headquarters but instead rotates among countries each year based on GDP contributions. Their leaders meet periodically at summits held throughout the year to discuss both economic issues as well as topics of common interest that require coordinative policies.

The G20 member nations share a commitment to supporting strong, sustainable, balanced, and inclusive global economic growth. Furthermore, they work collaboratively on opening global markets and creating rules-based multilateral trading systems. Furthermore, this forum serves as an indispensable forum for discussing economic challenges and crises worldwide.

G20 summit 2023

The G20 is an international forum for global economic cooperation that works to shape and strengthen financial architecture and governance around the globe. Although initially focused on macroeconomic issues, its agenda has since broadened to encompass socio-economic concerns such as growth, employment, climate change adaptation/mitigation/sustainable development/agriculture/anticorruption etc. Comprised of 20 of the world’s most powerful economies it serves as the premier platform for international economic cooperation.

India currently leads the G20 presidency under the motto, “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” or One Earth, One Family and One Future. This theme pays homage to India’s cultural traditions while calling attention to global cooperation as necessary to confront today’s greatest challenges.

G20 members collectively account for 85% of global GDP, 75% of world trade and two-thirds of world population – making their representation at this summit of key importance in addressing some of our most urgent problems. They are responsible for setting global macroeconomic policy as well as working closely with international organizations like IMF, WTO, OECD and others to set priorities for cooperation between themselves and one another.

The G20 is an informal but influential body, and its decisions can have a substantial effect on global policies. The forum’s working groups address topics like agriculture, anti-corruption, climate, digital economy development education employment environment energy health. Staffed by experts known as sherpas who serve as personal emissaries to Leaders they advise and shape ideas and priorities ahead of the Summits as well as facilitate intergovernmental negotiations and prepare and follow up on Leaders Declaration at Summits these specialists play a vital role in its success by creating consensus around policy initiatives.

G20 2024

The Group of 20 (G20) is an international forum composed of the world’s 20 largest economies. Established in 1999 in response to the Asian financial crisis, its purpose is to foster global economic stability and cooperation through its membership that represents approximately 85% of global GDP and 75% of international trade. Each year a different member state assumes leadership of this global body for one year before holding a Leaders Summit and hosting ministerial meetings on specific issues conducted by finance or economy ministers or central bank governors of member nations.

G20 membership comprises Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan South Korea Mexico Russia Saudi Arabia Turkey and United States. This global forum addresses matters of common interest such as international security and financial stability while simultaneously seeking to promote sustainable growth while decreasing inequality among members.

One of the biggest obstacles facing the G20 is Russia’s aggressive behaviour, which threatens global stability. G20 nations must work together to counter this threat and safeguard citizens worldwide. Furthermore, their role is essential in creating rules-based trading systems and strengthening WTO rules.

G20 leaders have pledged their collaboration on various other critical issues beyond just the G20 Summit. These include addressing global inequality issues, increasing investment in infrastructure projects and developing alternative sources of energy; climate change mitigation; women empowerment efforts and expanding global prosperity are also on their minds.

India, as host of the summit, will take special precautions to ensure its successful running. Roads have been shut off and over 130,000 security staff deployed. India’s leader hopes to use the summit as an opportunity to promote himself as a major world power ahead of national elections in spring 2024.

Rotary Club International is an international service organization with members working together to make an impactful difference both locally and worldwide. As a Rotarian you have plenty of opportunities to involve in the activities while embarking on Rotary Club Tours. Rotary clubs focus on peace building, fighting disease, providing clean water access and supporting education – with their flagship initiative being their effort to eradicate polio. Community development projects represent another form of service. To implement such projects effectively, community needs assessments must first take place – for example improving health, alleviating hunger and encouraging cultural and social advancement are some areas in need of attention.

About Rotary Club

The Rotary Club is an international service club founded by Paul Harris in 1905 as a way of sharing ideas among business and professional leaders from varying cultures and backgrounds. He was inspired to do this by fond memories from growing up in small town America, hoping to recreate those same qualities at work in Chicago.

Each club operates autonomously, yet all work toward fulfilling the Object of Rotary by engaging in successful service projects based on the Five Avenues of Service. Clubs also actively support The Rotary Foundation while advocating high ethical standards within businesses and professions while offering leadership development through programs such as RYLA, Interact and Rotary Youth Exchange.

Club Service, or activities necessary for its proper functioning, includes activities designed to foster fellowship among its members and ensure there are sufficient funds available to fulfil its obligations, while encouraging acquaintance as an opportunity for service. Vocational Service offers Rotarians the chance to represent the dignity and utility of their professional pursuit to other club members while upholding ethical standards.

Rotary Club History

Since 1905, Rotary International has promoted international peace and understanding through service activities. Today, over 200 countries and geographical areas as well as youth programs such as Interact and RYLA are taking action to make the world a better place.

Rotary’s primary objective is to enhance community quality of life through club-based approaches to service, with Service above self being its motto and Four-Way Test being its code of ethics. Furthermore, Rotary encourages personal and professional relationships through fellowship activities.

Rotary supports many international humanitarian efforts, including the elimination of polio. Through partnerships with World Health Organization and UNICEF, it has played a pivotal role in that effort. Rotarians also serve as leaders within their communities and professions – being sought out for advice or opinions regarding business, national and community affairs – often called upon as experts by business. Furthermore, Rotary maintains an expansive public relations network.

Rotary club near me

Rotary clubs are global networks of people committed to making an impactful difference in their communities and beyond. Their work promotes peace, fights disease; a supply clean water, support education and expands local economies – as well as growing local economies themselves. Rotary membership spans all walks of life but all share an equal passion for service.

Members of a Rotary club must attend weekly meetings where they exchange ideas and discuss relevant topics, while making new friendships within their district or around the globe. Rotary clubs are an invaluable way to learn public speaking skills that can inspire others and raise awareness for important causes.

There are various methods available to you when looking for a club near you, such as using the Club Finder on the official Rotary website. Simply enter your city or zip code and the tool will locate clubs near you. Alternatively, contact your local Rotary club directly in order to inquire about joining. In order to become a member, yearly dues must be paid toward your local group, district and Rotary International membership dues.

Rotary Foundation

The Rotary Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Rotary International, supporting their work through grants, scholarships and international humanitarian projects. Established by Paul Harris in 1905 and funded through donations from Rotarians and friends of Rotary.

Vocational service involves applying the principles of Rotary to one’s business and professional life, with an emphasis on upholding high ethical standards while acknowledging all useful occupations as equally worthy pursuits, while upholding and advocating the ideal of service above self.

Rotary clubs perform community service projects to enhance the quality of life in their respective communities and beyond, and aid efforts to prevent disease such as polio by immunizing children and providing education to parents.

Polio, one of the world’s deadliest infectious diseases, can only be eradicated with collaboration between governments and international organizations as well as donors of large sums of money and thousands of hours of volunteer labour. Rotary International plays an integral part in this effort through its global network of clubs; Rotary members may also contribute to world peace through exchange programs such as Group Study Exchange or Peace Fellows program.

Rotary membership

Rotary membership provides the chance to connect with people both locally and worldwide while taking on significant global issues. You’ll have an opportunity to develop public speaking, project management and event planning skills while meeting influential leaders from business, civic and cultural communities – and all these benefits await you as a member!

The organization’s signature program is its campaign to eradicate polio worldwide in partnership with World Health Organization and UNICEF. Although this ambitious endeavour will require time and money, its goals can be accomplished using “people power,” including local clubs as well as individuals volunteering their services for this cause.

Rotary clubs typically consist of men and women of various ages and backgrounds who share a commitment to service and fellowship. Weekly club meetings provide members an opportunity to interact with one another as well as guests, share ideas about bettering local and global communities and discuss topics relevant to Rotary Ideals.

Rotary Club Tours

Paul Harris, an attorney from Ohio, established the first Rotary club in 1905 in an attempt to capture the friendly spirit of small town life through professional club membership. Early meetings took place at different members’ places of business; later meetings moved around between members’ locations – hence its name “Rotary”, while members adopted wagon wheel designs as their symbol for this organization.

Rotary club tours and events are designed to give visitors an understanding of what the club offers in terms of fellowship and service, such as guest speakers, tours of local businesses or landmarks, dinner meetings, etc. To maintain vibrant growth within a club’s ranks it is imperative that its members share in recruiting newcomers regularly – both for themselves as well as other members!

Rotary provides an exceptional way to meet people from various parts of the globe and form lasting friendships, providing Rotary club tours and traveler a bridge across cities worldwide through club membership. Plus, weekly programs and meetings allow members to stay informed of world affairs as well as motivate others into action!

Rotary membership comprises leaders from every profession and represents a cross section of society, thus contributing to better fellowship, leadership, public speaking, social skills and cultural awareness among its members. Furthermore, Rotary does not recognize any creed as its official statement of faith and all religious beliefs are welcomed into membership.

Tour Delhi Agra Jaipur – Top Rotary Club Tours India

Located at the heart of the country, Delhi is a fascinating melting pot of cultures, ethnicities and religions. While the south of the city is an oasis of wide tree lined avenues dotted with sprawling colonial mansions and beautiful parks, the centre of Old Delhi can be a maze of claustrophobic streets overflowing with traffic and people. Here you’ll find the colourful spice markets heaving with brightly dressed women threading orange marigolds into fragrant necklaces, bangle shops sparkling and shining in every colour imaginable and vendors dishing out mouth-watering street food.

The glitz and glamour of the Golden Triangle Tour is not just limited to Delhi, Agra and Jaipur are also part of it and provide visitors with an insight into India’s rich history and culture. On the one hand, Delhi offers a glimpse of India’s Mughal era, while Agra showcases some of its most spectacular architecture and Jaipur transports travellers back to the days of Rajputana grandeur.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Taj Mahal is an unforgettable sight and a symbol of love and devotion. Afterwards, make your way to Agra Fort, another Unesco World Heritage Site and learn about its interesting history from a guide.

If you have time left, take a stroll around the India Gate, a soaring triumphal arch that pays tribute to 90,000 Indian soldiers who lost their lives in WWI, the Northwest Frontier operations and the 1919 Anglo-Afghan War. It’s a good place to soak up the atmosphere and watch as families gather to picnic on the grass, swim in the pools or simply enjoy the flurry of activity surrounding the monument.

From Delhi, make your way to Agra and spend the night in a well-appointed hotel. After breakfast at the hotel, head out to explore the attractions of Agra. Visit the grand Red Fort that sits atop a hill and is known for its spectacular views of the surrounding city. Visit the imposing Jama Masjid and Raj Ghat as well before heading to the stunning Jaipur.

While Galta Ji Temple may be a short distance from the city centre, its evocative landscape and isolation make it feel like a world away. Often referred to as the Monkey Temple, this temple is frequented by hundreds of macaques and langurs who call it home, roaming its crumbling steps or splashing in its sacred tanks.

After breakfast, head out to see some of the most popular attractions in Jaipur including Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal and the City Palace. Make sure to keep an eye out for the elephants that roam the city and stop by the local bazaars for some shopping before returning to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
