People believe that on Lord Krishna\u2019s invocation, Lord badrinath appeared and blessed the entire popular. Since then this place is known as boodha Badri or old badri as Lord Badrinath appeared to bless old Nand Baba and Mother Yashoda. Close to old Badri you see a pond known as Alakhnanda Kund.
