It is universally known that Babur invaded India in 1526 AD and founded his capital in Agra. He hailed from a terrain where the climate used to be cool, Indian climate especially of Agra did not suit him when Mercury goes up to 45 degree centigrade in the months of May and June just to cope with these climatic conditions, and for leisure, he planned a beautiful garden. Bagh Gul Afsham from a similar garden in Kabul. This garden also finds mention in Tujuke Jahangiri where it is noted that Jahangir ordered for a massive renovation of this garden and lot of mural paintings were done in that time in the interiors of the baradaris.
