Alleppey popularly known as Alappuzha is a watery maize of interlinked canals filled with paddy fields and coconut groves. This whole day journey i the tranquil waters is the best way to experience the bounties of nature. This has been a long tradition in the state of Kerala to move on rice barge which is presently gives place to the house boats. As the boat drifts in the water you can have breathtaking experience as you see the routine course of life of localities going on both the sides of the back waters.
